 EKU FOUNDATION ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIPS

 

EKU National Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship

Eligibility – Be enrolled as a full-time student at EKU in good academic standing, have a 3.0 cumulative GPA, a minimum composite ACT score of 18, demonstrate involvement in at least three extracurricular activities and demonstrate financial need via the FAFSA. In case of a tie, preference is given to legacies. Benefit – Annual scholarship based on available funds. Conditions – Maintain a 3.0 cumulative EKU GPA, full-time status and good academic standing. Scholarship is limited to a maximum of eight academic terms (fall/spring). J.W. Thurman Alumni Scholarship (Essay Required) Eligibility – Be the child of an EKU graduate, have a minimum composite ACT score of 18 and a cumulative 3.0 high school GPA. Write an essay stating your reasons for wanting to attend EKU. Benefit – Annual scholarship based on available funds. Conditions – Maintain a 2.8 cumulative EKU GPA, full-time status and good academic standing. Award is limited to a maximum of eight academic terms (fall/spring).

 

J.W. Thurman Alumni Scholarship (Essay Required)

Eligibility – Be the child of an EKU graduate, have a minimum composite ACT score of 18 and a cumulative 3.0 high school GPA. Write an essay stating your reasons for wanting to attend EKU. Benefit – Annual scholarship based on available funds. Conditions – Maintain a 2.8 cumulative EKU GPA, full-time status and good academic standing. Award is limited to a maximum of eight academic terms (fall/spring).

 

McBride Berman Family Scholarship (Essay Required)

Eligibility – Be enrolled as a full-time student at EKU in good academic standing, have a 2.5 cumulative GPA, be a graduate of any high school in Madison County, KY. Write an essay demonstrating a high level of student involvement & leadership experience. Benefit – Annual scholarship based on available funds. Conditions – Must reapply each year.

Students who want to apply for the Thurman, Alumni Endowed and McBride Berman scholarships need to complete the application, provide two signed references that are not from family members, include an essay if applying for the Thurman scholarship and submit all items to the University Scholarship Office, SSB 346, by April 1, 2013.
