About SAA
Our main objective is service to the University. As an Ambassador, we have the unique opportunity to meet people with whom we can share our enthusiasm about EKU. We work with the University President, University officials, alumni, and others. Ambassadors are recognized for outstanding service to EKU and the community.
Student Alumni Ambassadors meet
often with faculty, alumni, and friends of the University. We help our
alumni keep in touch with the campus and often serve as hosts at official
University and alumni events, such as:
- Alumni Awards Banquet
- Faculty Retirement Dinner
- Employee Recognition Luncheon
- Football Games
- Greeters for the President's Box
- Alumni Weekend
- Alumni Chapter Meetings
- Homecoming
- Colonel Country Fair
Ambassadors plan events for EKU students and serve as hosts for various University events. We also do many things to strengthen our own organization. As a member of the national organization of CASE, Council for Advancement and Support of Education, we have contact with other student ambassador groups across the nation. As members, we participate in:
- Weekly meetings
- Team building and goal setting retreats
- Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
- CASE/ASAP conferences
- Higher Education Week
- Care Package Program
- Social events for members
