Larry Marmie has enjoyed a lengthy and successful career as a football coach, 28 years on the college level and 12 in the National Football League, where he currently serves as an assistant defensive coach for the Seattle Seahawks.

Coach Marmie was head coach for four years at Arizona State University and spent eight seasons with the Arizona Cardinals and two with the St. Louis Rams.

A four-year starter at quarterback for Eastern, he won All-Ohio Valley Conference honors and captured most valuable player honors in 1965.

Coach Marmie's distinguished coaching career began at Berea High School and has included service to Morehead State University, EKU, the University of Tulsa, the University of North Carolina, and the University of Tennessee. The Barnesville, Ohio, native earned degrees from Eastern in health and physical education.
